Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently criticised the re-writing of history. Their comments were timely; Victory Day, a masterpiece of re-written fake history is set to take place on May 9.
Finland might instead declare March 13 1940 Victory Day as this sparsely peopled nation resisted and routed the American-sponsored invading Red Army.
Finnish defences, mostly farmers and foresters, were outnumbered 3/1 in troops, 30/1 aircraft, 100/1 tanks. Yet, within 12 weeks the badly mauled Red Army retreated. Survivors licked their wounds as the ex-bank robbing terrorist Joe Stalin surrendered.
Ukrainians and Belarusians can celebrate liberation day as July 17 (1941) when the Reichskommissariat Ukraine (RKU) placed these territories under temporary German control.
Then, private land ownership was restored, farming families returned to land and property seized by the Bolsheviks, Germany’s armed forces assisted in the restoration of the Bolshevik destroyed churches, the threat of terror was lifted.
The dwindling number of Russians as brainwashed about Stalin as some Brits are about Churchill, might consider March 12 for triumphalism. On that day in 1940 US President Roosevelt signed the Lend-Lease Act. Inked 10 months before America’s entry into the war his treacherous anti-Christian Act guaranteed the USSR unlimited American resources to advance Soviet territorial expansionism.
Given Roosevelt’s blank cheque, Dictator Joe Stalin one year later placed 4.5 million Red Army troops on Europe’s borders; the invasion and occupation of Western Europe was scheduled for July 1941. The Soviet High Command has since conceded this intention. Predictably, Hitler’s Germany took Napoleon’s advice: ‘he who hits first hits twice’.
On June 22, 1941, Germany already fighting on the Western Front, preemptively struck Bolshevik occupied Russia. Within 12 weeks the not so omnipotent Red Army was routed by the numerically far smaller forces of the Reich and swept back to the gates of Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad.
Stalinist Russians, like Churchill’s admirers, prefer to ignore the fact that Red Army General Andrei Vlasov, the saviour of Moscow, afterwards defected to the Reich taking his vast Russian and Ukrainian armies with him.
When Bolshevik-Capitalist Victory Day is celebrated each year on May 9 whose victory is it? Recognition ought to go to US President Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, Britain’s unelected wartime premier. Such was the volume of aid sent by the US, Canada, and Britain to the near-defeated USSR that Soviet dictator Joe Stalin and Marshal Georgy Zhukov gave credit where credit was due.
In his memoirs, Chief of Soviet General Staff Marshal Georgy K. Zhukov, notorious for his being responsible for more military disasters than Churchill; ‘US aid to the Soviet Union during World War II was crucial to the victory over Nazi Germany.’
As reported in the Los Angeles Times (Oct 20, 1987) Josef Stalin wrote to Roosevelt: “We would have been in a difficult position without American gunpowder, we could not have produced the quantities of ammunition we needed.
“Without US Studebakers we would have had nothing with which to pull our artillery. They largely provided our transport at the front, producing steels, necessary for the most diverse needs of war, also involved certain US supplies.”
Albert L. Weeks in his Russia’s Life-Saver: Lend-Lease Aid to the USSR: “The victory over Nazi Germany was achieved through the economic power of the United States who, for reasons that defy logic, made the ultimate sacrifice to keep in power a regime as brutal as their Nazi enemy.”
The greatest irony of all is that real historians who tell the truth are dismissed as revisionists. Yet, it is the victors’ palace scribblers who re-write history and create fairy tale endings.
