THE COVER-UP OF ALLIED ART LOOTED FROM THE DEFEATED REICH

By late 1944, the leadership of the Reich, soon to be overwhelmed by the combined armies of the Soviet, British and American Empires realised that from as early as February 1943 the Soviets established the Trophy Brigades rubber-stamped by both Washington DC and Downing Street.  The purpose of the Trophy Brigades was to join in the ransacking of defeated Germany and share with the Allies the spoils of war.

THE MAKERS AND BREAKERS OF EUROPE

Posterity will record that of the 50 nations that make up the world’s smallest continent, it was two leaders of the same nation pivotal to Europe’s fortunes and misfortunes. On the one hand, twice-elected German Chancellor-President Adolf Hitler (1889 – 1945) whose blueprint promised a European renaissance that would have rivalled that of Rome and Greece.
